Kubernettes, SUSE Rancher, OpenSuSE LEAP to SLE(SUSE Linux Enterprise), config SALT
Presented By: Michael Carrington
A look at what's new in SUSE Rancher 2.6, Kubernettes.
Details on what OpenSuSE LEAP -> SLE (SUSE Linux Enterprise) path is & their relationship.
And a showcase of 'configuration management' using 'SALT' - it's time if you're not currently utilizing it. I'll demonstrate some useful commands that every linux system administrator would love to help aide and automate their jobs. It will just be a teaser, but as I build out the lab further we'll see some enhancements.

EMACS Editor Intro
Presented By: Steve Stegmann
Emacs is an editor with rich options. It has been around for many years and has grown enormously. Vim is usually considered the alternative editor to emacs but there are other editors as well.
This will be a very basic introduction to emacs. It will feature starting, exiting, and saving files. It will also give you the basics of moving around and using a few of the control keys and internal command line functions. My working version of emacs, set up for the C language, has 2,832 command line functions. It will also cover making global changes in a file, using a string or regexp as the target to be replaced. You’ll understand how emacs uses buffers to keep things organized.
This should give you enough familiarity for the upcoming presentation on advanced emacs we plan for next month.
